First Committee and Bureau meeting was held on 13th of November, 2016 at Prima Sri Gombak. The meeting was about the discussion of 2017 agendas.

Madam President was invited to represent WIGTA in Global Entrepreneurship Community in 2017. Madam has also received a copy of best selling Blue Ocean Shift Book by Prof W Chan Kim and Renee Mauborgne. LETTER FROM CEDAW MALAYSIA
Madam President is honored to receive a letter and State Party Report from RIDH (The International Network of Human Rights), a leading Geneva- based NGO with Consultative Status to the United Nations, that works to empower civil society actors working for the promotion and protection of human rights in developing countries. WIGTA is recognized by Ms Grace M Elias, Project Officer from RIDH as an association carries mission that aims to empower women, bring policy change and end gender discrimination in Malaysia, we believe that Women in Governance and Technology Association of Malaysia (WIGTA) would have a crucial role to play at the international level through the Committee’s review.
2017 JCIM SDA
WIGTA supports Sustainability Development Growth, SDG initiatives. As an association we sure that women and girls participate in the agendas. Therefore WIGTA realizes the effort that JCIM has put in sending awareness about SDG. Madam President has participated in the event and will continue to embrace relationship with JCIM.

Kind Malaysia has selected WIGTA to participate in the event. WIGTA has been represented by SME Business Owners who had showcased their products and services in the exhibition. At the end of the day, we managed to provide opportunities for women who are talented and capable in business and entrepreneurship.

Madam President is specially invited to the event. The event that organised a dialogue & information sharing session with the President of the Association of Women Entrepreneurs and more than 150 women entrepreneurs at Platinum Central today. The event was attended by YB Dato’ Sri Mustapa Mohamed, Minister of MITI and YB Dato’ Sri Rohani Abd Karim, Minister of KPWKM. In the same event, SME Corp. Malaysia also launched the re-branding of SME Corp’s One Referral Centre known as the SME Hub.

WIGTA is invited to attend a breaking fast ceremony organized by Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KWPKM). Madam President along with other guest and vips had an opportunity to join the ceremony and meet the Minister of the Ministry, YAB Dato Sri Rohani Karim.

WIGTA is established to identify women and girls potential in Science and Technology. Therefore we encourage them by giving platform to achieve and sustain in their goals. Madam President awares the huge gap that occurs between women and men in STEM workforce. She hopes that WIGTA will continuously support ISTIC since both parties hold the same objectives.
